Should I buy from Columbus travel insurance?
I am thinking of getting travel insurance for my vacation. I heard about Columbus travel insurance but not sure if they are a good company to buy from?

We took out a Single Trip policy with Columbus as it was cheaper than the travel agents policy. We never expected to use the policy so i didnt look at any reviews on Columbus. Unfortunatley my partner took ill and had to visit the doctor and he recieved some medication. We were really worried when we returned home and read the bad reviews about Columbus. We sent off our claim form along with all the attached information required e.g. medical certificate, medication labels etc. and within 6 weeks we have recieved our money back minus our excess. First, check with your credit card to see if they offer travel insurance at no cost to you. If you have MasterCard credit or debit card, the benefits are somewhat spelled out at http://www.mastercard.com/us/personal/en/cardholderservices/guidetobenefits/index.html. Call the number to find out what specific extra benefits your bank may have. If they don't offer an insurance you like or need, get a copy of the policy from Columbus and read it over in detail to make sure it offers what you want.
