If you are going to travel alone at age 13, your safety is more important than cost. The train would be cheaper, but I would not consider it safe for someone your age. On a plane, an unaccompanied minor is carefully taken care of by airline personnel.
2 :
It will be cheaper for you on the plane, plus it's much safer. A few hours of airplane travel vs days on a train
3 :
train, you don't have TSA security check points to take your shoes or get felt up by security personnel

Nuuk is such a small city that no major airlines fly into it. Try flying into Rekyjavic and then taking a commuter flight to Nuuk. M

Greyhound is your only choice. Their price is $143...they have recently doubled their prices. Their service is HORRID..and they lose luggage. I would recommend that you try checking on Craigslist and posting a message there too...under Rideshare. Worked great for me. There is also a new rideshare site called Zimride.

if you were to travel by plane from columbus ohio to hawaii how long would you be in the air?

well that would depend on how your flight was routed straigt thru should be about 8-9 hrs
2 :
I'd say about 6 ot 7 hours maybe. Somewhere around there
3 :
aprox. 8-10 hours....That is only if there are no snakes on your plane. Snakes getting onto planes is a huge problem now days.
4 :
pobably a good 10 hours, maybe a bit more
5 :
Once you leave the ground the whole time until you land.
6 :
According to www.delta.com, it would take about 10 hours of flight, but most of them have 2 or 3 layovers that could bump up your travel time to 18 hours at the most.
7 :
Well it is a 5 hour flight from here to LA. and 6 from there to Columbus Ohio. So you are looking at roughly a 11 hour flight......
8 :
Not sure but I live in hawaii ang go to school in Nebraska, that's a 9 hour flight (minus the stop over in phoenix)
9 :
In a straight line, on a Boing 737 at max speed of 943 km/hr, it would take 7.55 hrs.
10 :
There are a lot of variables to this question! Are we talking a commercial flight? If so, this would depend on other connecting flights and Murphy's law. Now here's a thought that comes to mind. Some planes never make it! I once had to wait 45 minutes while the ground mechanics fixed an electrical problem. Talk about a mind game on that flight! 10-12 hours with a 1-2 hour layover at Chicago.

Go to the page below and use the "Flight Duration Finder"

Im looking for travel deals from Dayton ohio to Las vegas I'll settle for Columbus or Cincinatti Oh as well?
I know south west sometimes have good one way deals for 99 but now there 125 is there a site where I can find something cheaper..Im not sure on a roundtrip ticket unless its cheaper..Im wanting something under $100 the same for hotels. near or on the strip any suggestions :) Looking to travel this month or maybe the 4th of july

You are kidding right? With the price of fuel you don't have a chance for what you are looking added to the fact that you waited so long. The closer it gets to travel time the more expensive airfare gets. The prices you see now are as low as they are going to get. Columbus would be the cheapest for you to fly out of. It doesn't matter what site you use they will all say the same price as airfares do not discount wholesale like hotel rooms do. So far as hotels you don't say how long you want to stay. You aren't very specific on your travel plans for anyone to help. Add to the fact that you are considering the 4th of July means a holiday and weekend. Good luck.
2 :
Southwest will give you a better deal if you book both flight and hotel therough them. Use Southwest Airlines Vacations instead. They are currently offering up to $100 or two free show tickets. Another option is to do a search on kayak engine. It will check all airlines going to Vegas and all major travel sites and return the cheapest fare. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/cheap-flights.php
3 :
Try Midwest or Jet Blue
4 :
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://bookme.com/vacations.php and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

First enter Carcassonne in your search engine....to gain more information. You can probably then discover which large city is closest, to which you fly into. The easiest thing would be to arrange to rent a car from the airport and drive to Carcassonne.
2 :
with "thanks" I would have answered...
3 :
Hi Carcassonne is in the South near the Mediterranean sea. It is quite close to Spain. It has a small airport serving internal and short European destinations. The easiest way to get there is to book a flight to hook up with one of the Euro airlines (flights to Carcassonne at http://www.the-languedoc-page.com/tourism/languedoc-tourism-air.htm ) or fly to Paris and then get the train or internal flight. A bit more difficult is to fly to Toulouse, Girona, Perpignan, Montpellier or Barcelona ( nearby airports with international flights) then get local train connections. Peter
4 :
Information on Carcassonne may be found at http://aude.c-lafrance.com/Loisirs-Visites/Carcassonne-57326.html# In case you are only interested in Carcassonne, then it is better for you to fly to Toulouse. In case you arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (international airport), in most cases, you have to get an Air France coach to Paris Orly (local flights). There you'll get an easyjet.com flight (discount company) up to Toulouse. From time to time you may get a bargain flight with Air France if you book either early in advance or at the last minute. From Toulouse rent a car (it's worth going around : don't miss the Canal du Midi, part of World Heritage). Another solution : take a train up to Carcassonne from Paris-Austerlitz or Paris Montparnasse station (6h30-7h30 trip). Booking and prices at http://www.voyages-sncf.com/. Advance booking and from time to time bargain or last minute booking may be available.

Yeah, I was going to suggest you get on a bus, choose a seat, and then remain on that bus, or one similar to it, until it reaches your destination, but Ice beat me to it...

Hi, it depends on which side of Niagara Falls you're going to, the U.S. or Canadian. From Columbus, OH to Niagara Falls, NY is 8 hours (with 2 transfers in Cleveland, and Buffalo). This is the shortest trip, departing Columbus at 11:15 p.m., arriving Niagara Falls, NY at 7:15 a.m.. But if you meant the Canadian side, it's the same route except you'd be there at 7:30 a.m.. http://www.greyhound.com/ - It may cost over $100 USD round trip. You can also try: http://columbus.craigslist.org/rid/ - Carpooling/rideshare - If you don't see an ad that you needed, then you can post one asking for a ride to Niagara Falls from Columbus. Just another idea.

i'm traveling from columbus OH to Bloomington MN. i need help with a travel route.?
i want to avoid the midwest flooding and i tried comparing mapquest to the affected areas but i'm still having a tough time. can anyone help? we're leaving wed. morning and i dont want to run into anything! thanks so much!

The flooded areas that affect major highways are those that cross the Missisippi river. You won't have any problems: Take 70 West to 65 North to 90N to 94 North - on to 35 West right in to Bloomington. It's about a 12 hour drive - Rockford, IL is about halfway if you want to break it into a 2 day drive. It might be more fun to stay in Madison, WI - just 1 1/2 hours further north - and that would leave a quick 4 1/2 hour trip into Bloomington for the second day.

Can't find any on google except recruiters
2 :
Rickenbacker AFB was located in or near Columbus, but I believe is has closed & is now an airport. (Wright-Petterson is in Dayton)
3 :
i don't think so. miamisburg is just 15 min or so away and it's a heck of a lot nicer than dayton. i wouldn't live in dayton again for anything.
4 :
Not exactly. What you have is the Ohio Air Natinal Guard there at Rickenbaker. The 121st Air Refueling Wing, the 164th Weather, and the HQ of the Ohio Air National Guard. If you are looking to join the regular USAF, then you are barking up the wrong tree. You can tell them where you would LIKE to be stationed, but they are going to send you where they need you. If you want to be in Columus, and be in the USAF, then you will need to check into joining the Ohio Air National Guard.
5 :
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, U.S. military installation, 8,023 acres (3,247 hectares), W Ohio, NE of Dayton; est. 1917. One of the largest airport installations in the world, it is the air force's main research and development base, and the headquarters of the Air Force Logistics Command (national center for defense activities). The Aerospace Medical Laboratory and the Air Force Museum are also on the base. There is a Youngstown Air Reserve Station. There is a National Guard station in Cinncinati. Camp Perry Air National Guard Station, Port Clinton, Ohio Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base, Columbus, Ohio
6 :
There are only 2 in Ohio... Defense Supply Ctr Columbus, OH Wright-Patterson AFB, OH Dayton, OH
7 :
The only real Air Force base left in Ohio is Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. There might be a few Air National Guard Armories around. Well you if you want to live in Columbus you might want to check with the housing officer and your commanding officer to see if they have any problem with it. As long as it does not interfere with your job preformance, and you can get to and from the base without any issues they might not have a problem. But every base is different. So the best advice I can give is like I said, just check with the housing officer and your commanding officer.
8 :
I am from Ohio and when I got married I went to an office in Columbus for my ID and insurance. Not sure what it is called though..sry. Ohio is pretty nice, just like anywhere else has it's bad parts. Hope this helps and if I can find out the name from my hubby (he is in Iraq so when he calls I will ask) I will let you know.
9 :
http://www.globemaster.de/bases.html This gives the bases of all military installations throughout the world by branch. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._Air_Force_bases This gives a list of all US Air Force bases in the US and lists the websites of each. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wright-Patterson_Air_Force_Base Wright Patterson in Fairborn serves Dayton, Ohio. The size and jobs on that base are listed on the website. There was one in Heath, OH called Newark but was closed in 1996. http://www.cr.nps.gov/nagpra/DOCUMENTS/BasesMilitaryMAP.htm This website is a US map of military installations in case there may be one in close proximity but in another state you may want to consider. Good luck!
