Can I get a travel agent rate on a suite at the Hilton Homewood suites at the Columbus Ohio airport?

Not unless you are a Certified Travel Agent - have an IATA card. Even if you are doesn't mean there would be a Travel Agent Discount, as they don't apply at all hotels/airlines/car rentals/etc.

If you want travel agent rates.... become a referral travel agent... it is easy... join my team, get your certification online( takes only a couple of minutes).. and save on ALL your travel, flights, hotels, rental cars, cruises, resort vacations, etc... and also you can make money referring others to your travel site... Same reason it doesn't have Toledo, Akron/Canton, Youngstown, Pitsburg, etc. They can't list every city, so they choose the most populated and don't list cities that are close to one another. Notice that they don't list many state capitals (capitals of ND, SD, Michigan, Conn, Iowa, New York, etc are not listed) . They could try to just list the states and then for states like Texas and California, list the regions.

Travel or entertainment advice around Columbus Ohio?
My boyfriend and I want to do something interesting together on the weekend of 1/28/2011. We have both Saturday and Sunday free. We live in Columbus, Ohio. I checked the live shows going on that weekend, nothing interesting. I'd like to get some advices on what to do to avoid being couch potatoes that weekend. Have you gone to COSI? You don't have to be a kid to enjoy it that's good for 3 or 4 hours. A trip to Cleveland Should include a trip to the Museum of Art In my opinion its the 2 nd best museum in the midwest(after the Institute of Art in Chicago).

The best way is to hop into your car, get on I-75, and in about 13 hours you're there. It is that simple. Get a driving buddy and take turns, and you'll get it done in a day, one night stay at the most. That will almost definitely be cheaper than flying more times than not. Otherwise, try Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, and Priceline and try to find the best price. Good luck!

Looks like Orlando would be the closest airport to you that would fly non-stop. Jacksonville and Gainsville would both have to be connecting flights. You can alwasy get great deals out of Orlando anyway. I would think if you book well in advance you could probably find fares as low as around 200 or maybe high 100's if you are lucky.

Driving down I-75 is your best bet. If you fly, go into Tampa. Gainesville is only 2 hours away, straight up 75.

What is the best unique travel destination within 4 hours of Columbus, OH?
I'm looking to go on a weekend "getaway" kind of close to home. I would like to go somewhere unique that has culture and some fun things to do. Any suggestions?? Personal experiences that you have had that were particularly memorable? I'm 20 and the person traveling with me is 26 so we don't just want to sit around all weekend. Thanks! Columbus and unique do not belong in the same sentence.....no offense, it's just that's it's Ohio (probably not your fault you're there), the only thing in Ohio worth going to is either a Blue Jackets game, or Cleveland, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
